It’s been a while since I edit any “home video” editing, but Ella, Charlotte and I decided it would be nice if we put some videos together for their Volleyball social media accounts. I have been using Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects to create the videos below so far.

Another cyclical pattern of my like back into photography. My Dad and sister inspired me along time ago to get into the hobby and its always more meaningful when you have a subject or interest which draws you in. In this cycle, it’s the girls Volleyball and sporting events/matches which have me intrigued along with capturing some shots for their social media accounts. I quickly learned shooting VB indoors requires a really good low light lens and the 70-200 2.8 seemed like a good choice. I have not shot video with it yet but hopefully soon (which was my primary motivation for the T2i years ago).

A collection of home video clips from my grandfather of my dad and his family growing up in around 1953 through to a few clips of me and my brother, sister.
I recently won a GoPro at SAP TechEd (don’t remember which vendor?) but this was some of the video I shot with it and threw it together for a short, fun clip of our family day together in 2014.

Kate wants to kill me for this long introduction … but I was trying out some different angles and shots with a new 50mm lens 🙂
In 2007 I was really interested in shooting video and loved the creative process, angles and technology. With DSLR’s having HD video, and the ability to use nice photography lenses for video really had my attention. This was a “short” film I made over a weekend using a new camera at the time.
