I spent a lot of time dreaming of having a motocross bike growing up, it all started when I rode Nic’s Yamaha 50cc straight into a wall WFO. When got a little older he got a 1989? CR80 which we used rip around Oxford Striders back in the day. The neighbors used to get so pissed due to the noise.
My parents dangled a carrot in front of due to bad grades in Std 5 and pulling through, I got a 1986 CR125. Man I was pumped. Fun bike, basically a rocket ship compared to the 80cc. It came with a slide block in the carb (a small sleeve attached around the throttle cable) because my dad was afraid it would be too fast. I quickly figured out how to remove it 🙂
